My Experience with Vector - Explore.Dream.Discover

Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia I moved to Vancouver in December of 2011 after graduating from a Bachelor of Oenology & Viticulture at the University of Adelaide. Although with a solid and specific degree under my belt, the one thing that I felt that I did not gain from my studies was an understanding of business management.

I started working with Vector Marketing Canada in February of 2012, as with the intention of only staying ‘a few months’ in Canada to clear my head after university, I was looking for a flexible part-time job where I could still gain skills in sales and marketing… 3 months turned into 10 months and I’m still here!

Just like almost everyone else, I started as a Sales Representative showing CUTCO Cutlery. Within a month of working I was promoted to an Assistant Manager in the Vancouver office. My first summer with Vector proved very busy (the way I like it) and very fun but I never expected it to take me to where I am today. At the end of my summer with Vector I returned to Australia for two months, packed up my things and moved back to Vancouver slightly more permanently. I am now the Pilot Sales Manager in the Vancouver office. The entrepreneurial skills that I am gaining at Vector will allow me to pursue my dreams of one day owning my own wine business.

Vector Canada is a catalyst for people achieving their dreams. I love that Vector has offered me the avenues and allowed me to choose the path that I want to take. The friendships I build, the memories I create, the skills I continually develop make my life so much richer. Vector is a unique organization with an amazing culture of growing and developing champions. The growth that I’ve had and continue to have on a daily basis keeps me motivated to strive to be better at what I do every day.

I never thought that I would have found myself living in another city, selling knives and having so much fun whilst I do it! Vector has opened doors for me that I never would have dreamed of walking through and I am now such a better version of myself because of my time with Vector.
